Eye. There’s two things I love about this word. First, it’s almost the same as the word for window. Second, the Czech word and the English word are really similar too, like it was just a handwriting mistake a few hundred years ago. Round out those E’s and flip over the Y and you’re practically there.

Another request: T-Shirt. This one reminded me of two words I always mix up: Tužka (Pencil) and Taška (Bag). One of my most embarassing Prague moments was standing at the checkout line at the grocery store asking them if I could please have a pencil.
